Matthew Aprea

        Matt has been playing the violin for 8 years, and has performed in Carnegie Hall with the New York Youth Symphony for 2 years, and in a piano trio through the New York Youth Chamber Music Program. He has attended  the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Program, and is currently a student of Anat Malkin Almani.  Matt was part of the New York All-State Symphony Orchestra in 2007, held at the Eastman School of Music.  He was also a featured soloist at the Les Nuits du Jazz Festival in Nantes, France in November 2007.

    In addition to the violin, Matt is also a pianist, and a student of Isabella Eredita Johnson.  He has performed in Steinway Hall on both piano and violin, and was a semi-finalist on piano in the Long Island Philharmonic Concerto Competition.
